well heeeeellllllllooooo,
sorry about the debbie downer post last time. it will be my last. well rylie and i are at a cafe right now so i thought i'd update my super cool blog. because only super cool people have blogs.
anyways, today was our first real day of school. we had placement tests to see which level we are in. Julia, Rue, Brett, Rylie, and I are all in the same one! Hooray! I feel like I've learned a lot more Spanish, but I still have no idea what anyone is saying half the time. My madre and I mostly use hand signals.
So I met Katy, the girl who is studying abroad from Kansas (not UTD...i got confused...tippy) and staying across the street and she seems really cool! She reminds me of a mix between Kendall Johnson and Stroupe...so it goes without saying that she's a badass. And she has a nose ring, which really makes me miss mine. So mom and dad, don't be surprised if i come home with a nose ring. Shearin, where did you get your ears double pierced here last year? Or do you know where a nice place is to get it done? Anyway, Katy came over to help me with my local cell last night and after like an hour of messing with it, we got it working. thank the good Lord. i feel like it takes me at least an hour to do anything here. So now that i have that and my calling cards figured out, i am just a bit more relaxed.
so Sieta is this like 4 hour period everyday, from 1 to about 4, where the entire town shuts down. Everybody leaves work and school to go home, have tea, eat, and sleep. this country literally has a national nap time...every.day. it's wonderful. i've gotten to catch up on my Lost epis.
uhhh i don't know what else to put. i kinda hate blogging.

Don't stop blogging though! Who else is going to entertain me for 4 minutes everyday at work? You should also get a tatt when you are over there....kidding
ReplyDeleteNo tatt! Please take the time to continue your blog. Maybe during the first part of nap time! I have checked it every day since you started and was excited to see a new blog today. Plus, it could be a nice sort of diary of your trip. Have you heard how Charlie is? All better?
